Expected Salary Range: $101,122.00 - $126,403.00 - $158,003.00

In our recently completed fiscal year, BCLC generated a record $1.636 billion in net income to the Province of B.C. to support First Nations, local host governments, health care, education and community programs across the province.
Job Summary:
The Senior Product Manager, BCLC Enterprise Content Management Solution, is responsible for defining and leading the execution of the Content Management System product strategy. They are the business expert and decision maker on delivering the roadmap for our Content Management Solution that meets our player and business goals. As needed, they play a leadership role for Agile product teams, communicating the mission, vision and customer requirements and, in some scenarios leading one or more team working in the Product Owner persona. They directly manage the Content Management agile team.
They build cross functional relationships with Marketing, iGaming, Operations, Business Technology and key vendors to manage the overarching Content Management roadmap, defining product Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to maximize business performance while minimizing internal operating costs.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Leads the Content Management system strategy and defines the product roadmap.
  • Collaborates with stakeholder groups across the organization to understand the business strategy and determine priorities.
  • Secures and manages resources necessary to deliver the product, including the engagement of specialists across the organization, and contracts needed to deliver the product. Provides clear marketing, business operations and finance requirements to the team.
  • Manages the budget associated with the work of the product team, including forecasting and reporting. Develops and presents business cases for project funding, as needed.
  • Identifies risks related to the product, develops and implements risk mitigation strategies and reports on risks.
  • Facilitates cross-functional workshops to drive decisions and consensus across functional areas.
  • Collaborates with other product owners on the prioritization of cross-team dependencies and deliverables required by other product teams.
  • Negotiates with leaders and other stakeholders to remove team impediments, issues and blockers, including escalating to the appropriate levels within the organization when they cannot be resolved at the team level.
  • Reports to stakeholders, including the executive sponsor (VP), Directors or other product teams on the progress and status of product team deliverables.
  • Evaluates the outputs on behalf of stakeholders, including user acceptance of final product.
  • Prepares high quality regulatory facing documents as required for compliance and facilitate product review sessions as required to support regulatory approval for new developments.
  • They at times may need to play a Product Owner persona as part of an Agile team. If they do they will:
  • Defines and manages the product backlog collaborating with stakeholder groups across the organization to understand the business strategy and determine priorities. Leads the prioritization, planning and breakdown of the product teamwork in collaboration with the product team. Leads the mission of the product team, continuously bringing forward opportunities to enhance the user experience and better manage business partnership relationships.
  • Evaluates the outputs on behalf of stakeholders, including user acceptance of final product.
  • Participates in the product team's agile ceremonies such as planning sessions, stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint review meetings.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience
  • A diploma or degree in a business, commerce, engineering, project management, computer science, or other related discipline;
  • 5-7 years in a product management, and or project management capacity;
  • Experience working in and leading cross-functional business and technology teams;
  • Experience managing vendor and customer relationships;
  • Product Management certifications such as Pragmatic Marketing, Agile and or Scrum are an asset;
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Technical Requirements
  • Strong understanding of defining and communicating customer needs and value;
  • Strong business technical acumen and proven ability to develop and communicate a vision to cross-functional business and technology teams;
  • Strong understanding of existing BCLC account solutions and key technologies to required to deliver the ideal experience;
  • Solid understanding of Agile product management;
  • Solid understanding of key consumer trends and technologies is an asset;
  • Strong product management skills;
  • Strong relationship building skills and experience working with customers and vendors;
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and issues management skills;
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate complex business technology strategies;
  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills and time management;
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Visio, Project.
