Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for leading and building an agile multi-disciplinary team that is capable of building and executing on the organization’s vision for the Campus Connect platform on top of the Microsoft .NET development stack.

What Skills & Experiences Should you have?

• At a minimum you will have 5+ years of experience as a Software Developer
• Prior experience in a technical leadership position
• College or University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• 3+ years of experience leading a team of software developers, providing supervision, and technical guidance.

Core Competency Requirements:

• Proficient with Microsoft .NET 7+ development using C#
• In-depth knowledge and experience with core Microsoft .Net technologies including: ASP.NET Core, LINQ and EF
• Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise-grade software
• Experience with source control management systems (GitHub preferred) and continuous integration/deployment environments (Azure DevOps preferred)
• Experience with automated testing
• Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum (JIRA experience preferred)
• Experience with multi-threading and concurrency
• Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization
• Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories
• Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes
• Development experience with Java, experience with Eclipse IDE;
• Database experience (Azure SQL Preferred), including design, optimization, administration and maintenance;
• Display an understanding of web technologies and show a willingness to learn new programs and products (Dynamic HTML, jQuery, CSS, JavaScript and Vue);
• Solid understanding of relational and object-oriented analysis, design and implementation concepts;
• Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies;
• Be flexible and adaptable to adjust to changing requirements as organizational priorities and customer deadlines shift;
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing work schedules against deadlines in a high-pressure environment;
• Attention to detail is a must;
• A great attitude with the ability to follow direction well;
• Strong English communication skills, spoken and written.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $85,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
