Software Engineer Senior

Job Summary:

Our client in Waterloo, ON is looking for a Software Engineer Senior. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

If you would like to work with a great team on next generation in-vehicle user experience that will be used in millions of cars and trucks world-wide then we may have a role for you. As a SYNC Software Developer, you will be involved in full lifecycle of Software Development on the next generation SYNC infotainment system. Developers will be responsible for bringing to life new customer-centric apps and features that that allows the user to interact with their vehicle in the cabin and more.

Basics:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience developing Android apps.
• Experience programming in C++/ Kotlin or Java Proficiency with Git (GitHub) for revision control and continuous integrations tools like Jenkins.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience developing Android apps.
• Experience programming in C++/ Kotlin or Java.
• Hybrid position.

Preferred:

• Solid understanding of Android AOSP.
• Experience developing HMI software on infotainment or mobile platforms.
• Experience building the AOSP project.
• Familiarity with Agile development processes.
• Experience developing software on embedded QNX OS or Android based platforms.
• Experience with unit-testing and mock frameworks.
• Experience with AutoSAR ara::com communication framework.
• Experience developing distributed software based on SOA designs for communication.
