Senior Software Engineer

VinAudit.com Inc. is seeking a talented software professional to help us figure out how to turn large amounts of data into large amounts of money! You would be joining a small team of around 40+ individuals working remotely and globally including in the Philippines, Pakistan, the United States, and Canada. We happen to specialize in vehicle data. Since 2011, we have aggregated billions of vehicle-related records, helped millions of consumers evaluate a car purchase, and served thousands of automotive businesses with access to our unique datasets. We are seeking experienced individuals who love to join our team!

Work Setup:
Location: Remote in Canada supporting US-based business
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Pacific Time (US hours)
Base Pay: $100K - $150K CAD per year

Below are some of the responsibilities a Software Engineer is expected to assume in their position:

• As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using Python and PHP.
• You will be working with a team of developers, collaborating with other departments to deliver high-quality products.
• You will also be responsible for writing clean, reusable, and efficient code, as well as mentoring junior developers to help them improve their skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain software applications using Python and PHP.
• Write clean, reusable, and efficient code in Python and PHP
• Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products.
• Develop and maintain documentation for software systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in software systems and applications.
• Mentor junior developers to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Software Engineering.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• At least 8 years of solid experience in software development using Python and PHP
• Strong experience with Python frameworks such as Django and Flask
• Strong experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgniter
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Software Engineering principles
• Proficient in SQL, database design, and optimization
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
