Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator

Versa Frame Inc. is a metal cladding & roofing supplier business in Nisku, AB T9E 0H1. We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our team. The individual should be highly organized, detail orientated, and be able to multi-task and work under pressure.

Duties:

-Use of forklift and spreader-bar to load and unload metal cladding which lengths can range from 36" to 40 feet +/- in length

-Load & unload trucks & trailers

-Call out completed orders for pickup

-Class 5 drivers license and trailer towing is an asset as some delivery driving may be required

-Schedule deliveries as per production orders
-Stage and securely pack orders as per pick list and production orders

-Place appropriate documentation with each order and ensure all cases are clearly labelled and accurately marked (ie:pick/pack slips, stickers, etc)

-Receive and inspect inbound product for accuracy and damages

-Create shipping
- Package items securely for shipment
- Maintain inventory accuracy by performing regular cycle counts
- Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities and measurements

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a shipper/receiver or in a similar role preferred

- Forklift experience is required operating both All Terrain and warehouse type units
- Familiarity with packaging techniques and materials
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills

-Able to multitask

-Able to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact

-Team player who works productively with other people

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to perform repetitive hand and upper body movements, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands or arms. The employee will occassionally be required to sit, bend, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or twist.The employee must frequently be able to lift 20lbs and ocassionally lift and or move 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $26.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
