Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping, Receiving and Inventory Clerk. As a Shipping, Receiving and Inventory Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. This is a vital position that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders or invoices
- Inspect shipments for damages or defects and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer requirements
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and update records
- Operate material handling equipment such as reach trucks to move and store products
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely delivery
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols at all times
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations as needed
Skills:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 2 years experience in warehouse distribution or shipping/receiving preferred
- Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is a plus
- Proficiency in operating reach trucks or other material handling equipment
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems for inventory tracking
- Ability to accurately perform order picking, packaging, and labeling tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math calculations
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
