What does a Security Supervisor in Calgary do?
- Responsible for the day-to-day tactical operations of the Security group, including the Security Operations Centre.
- Review of incident reporting as well as dispatching to include Incident Report and Dispatch Log completion. Where applicable, distribution and file preparation.
- Implement, review, and oversee training program standards, ensuring all staff is properly trained, aligned with departmental policy and Standing Orders. Ensure all training programs, course curriculum, lesson plans, testing and evaluation forms are maintained as well as updated when necessary.
- Responsible for the direct supervision, development, evaluation and performance management of the Security Supervisors. Responsible for assisting with the supervision, development, evaluation, and performance management of the Controllers.
- Ensure effective communications from the Security Group to Customers, Building Personal, and Property Management to include Security Leadership.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relations with staff, tenants and the property management team.
- Participate in various Tabletop's or Emergency Management exercises as orchestrated by Management.
- Respond to and supervise emergency situations and act according to established policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing and updating of site policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications to become a Security Supervisor in Calgary
- 1-3 years experience in a Security Supervisor role
- Valid Alberta Security Guard license
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Working knowledge of the code of Arrest
- Able to work Mon-Fri 0800-1600
- Leadership and problem solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Customer Service Oriented
