ABOUT LANDISH

Landish is a fast-growing company based in Montreal (Lachine), Canada.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a dynamic Social Media Coordinator based in Montreal, fluent in both English and French, with a specialization in wellness and beauty brands. This individual will join our marketing team on a freelance contract basis, reporting directly to and collaborating closely with the Marketing Director.

This role is not your typical position; it's a multifaceted opportunity that requires more than just routine Social Media tasks. We are looking for an individual with a deep understanding of the wellness/beauty/food landscape, a creative mindset for crafting compelling content, and the versatility to seamlessly navigate between remote work and in-person responsibilities.

As a part of our hybrid work model, the position is primarily remote. However, it entails in-person attendance at our warehouse in Lachine at least twice a month. You'll be expected to dedicate 10-16 set hours per week during regular working hours, with some flexibility for evening and weekend availability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SOCIAL MEDIA GROWTH:

Collaborate with the Marketing Team:

  • Work closely with the marketing team, actively participating in the development and execution of organic and paid Social Media content, influencer marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Contribute insights and recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of Social Media campaigns.
  • Ensure seamless alignment of Social Media activities with broader marketing goals and campaigns.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions to foster collaboration and idea-sharing.

Proactively and Reactively Build and Engage Communities:

  • Cultivate and nurture a thriving online community by actively seeking opportunities to engage with the audience.
  • Monitor and participate in conversations on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest, fostering a sense of community around the Landish brand.
  • Encourage user-generated content and community contributions to strengthen brand loyalty and connection.

Manage Community and Comment Interactions:

  • Oversee interactions and comments across various Social Media platforms, responding promptly to inquiries, feedback, and comments from diverse demographics including but not limited to audiences aged 55+, Gen Z, and Millennials.
  • Tailor communication strategies to ensure a positive and engaging community experience, addressing comments and questions effectively for different age groups and preferences.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of nutrition and ingredient/product benefits in responses and community engagement.

Implement Engaging Social Media Content:

  • Drive sales through the creation and implementation of compelling Social Media content.
  • Align content with the overarching marketing schedule and maintain a consistent brand voice according to brand guidelines.

Stay Up-to-Date with Social Media Best Practices:

  • Keep abreast of the latest trends, tools, and best practices in Social Media to optimize strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

INFLUENCER MARKETING:

Oversee Influencer Communication and Content:

  • Manage day-to-day communication with influencers, ensuring clear expectations and timely execution of campaigns.
  • Coordinate product send-outs, content creation, and schedule implementation in collaboration with influencers.

Build and Grow the Influencer Network:

  • Conduct ongoing research to identify potential influencers aligned with the Landish brand.
  • Strategically expand and nurture the influencer network to maximize brand reach and impact.

Track and Organize Tagged Content:

  • Monitor and organize user-generated content, identifying opportunities for both gifted and paid influencer campaigns.
  • Leverage tagged content to enhance brand credibility and engagement.

PAID SOCIAL AD IMPLEMENTATION:

Implement Ads on Meta, Instagram, and TikTok:

  • Take charge of implementing paid Social Media ads on platforms such as Meta, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Enhance brand visibility through targeted and effective ad campaigns.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support General Marketing Activities:

  • Provide organizational support for various marketing activities, demonstrating a detail-oriented approach.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure cohesive and successful execution of marketing initiatives.

Contribute to Blog Post Creation:

  • Play a role in creating engaging blog posts, contributing copywriting skills and assisting in the building of posts within the Shopify platform.
  • Focus on recipe and lifestyle content that resonates with the Landish audience.

Assist in E-commerce Merchandising:

  • Contribute to the merchandising efforts of the e-commerce website, ensuring that imagery and copy are consistently updated to reflect seasonal changes and promotions.

Support Experiential Brand Marketing:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of experiential brand marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and effective implementation of retail/trade show marketing activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL:

Location:

  • Based in Montreal (candidates not based in Montreal will not be considered).

Language:

  • Fluent in English and French (candidates not fluent in both languages will not be considered).

In-Person Commitment:

  • Willing to work in person at our warehouse in Lachine at least twice a month to prepare influencer mailers and shoot content.

Flexibility:

  • Willingness to work some evening and weekend hours if needed.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of Social Media management experience with wellness and beauty brands (candidates with no experience in these fields will not be considered).

Technology Requirements:

  • Must have their own computer with reliable internet access.
  • Must have their own smartphone with reliable internet access and capabilities suitable for effective communication and content creation.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in writing and editing in English and French (photo/video/text).
  • Savvy with Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Google, YouTube, Google Drive, Shopify, and Milanote.
  • Familiarity with Shopify.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines and independently.
  • Positive attitude with good multitasking and organizational ability.
  • Enthusiastic and excited about learning new things.
  • Team player with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about the wellness/beauty/food industries and DTC brands.

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience working for a retail/wellness brand or ad agency is a plus.
  • Photo and video skills.
  • Knowledge of CapCut and/or Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro.

TIME COMMITMENT:

  • 10-16 hours/week (variable) with the potential to increase mid-2024
  • Preference for hours to be worked on specific days during company work hours is possible
