About the role
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer in Test with a strong background in defining, building and implementing test processes for security and/or networking software products to join our team in Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing all of the quality assurance processes for our DSKE products. This includes the development of an ergonomic E2E testing architecture and reliable and reproducible CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with our development team and project manager to ensure our software meets the highest quality and security standards.

Your day to day duties will include but are not limited to:
- Owning the QA process for our DSKE products
- Establish and implement comprehensive QA strategies, systems and processes
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute test plans and automated tests within our Python E2E test framework
- Ensure coverage of all the QA requirements, including usability, security, functionality, quality metrics, historical data, and more
- Analyze results, identify issues, and collaborate on solutions with the development team
- Support the maintenance of technical and user documentation of the product
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment
- Provide input on product design and potential risks
- Advocate for quality assurance practices and improvements
- Report testing outcomes and recommendations to management
You will bring:
- Bachelor in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science
- Minimum 7 years of backend software development experience
- 5+ years of experience in software test automation
- Comfortable working with both systems and scripting programming languages (e.g. Rust, C/C++, Python)
- Strong knowledge of Unix-like operating systems
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, etc.) and software defined networking
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git), test management, and bug-tracking tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Penetration testing and security knowledge is a big plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to continuous learning in software testing and QA best practices
- Highly curious, strongly self-motivated, enthusiastic team-player
