We are looking for a talented, versatile and motivated Software Test Engineer to develop unit tests to test user interface and APIs for a high resolution scientific/industrial X-ray detector and 3D X-ray Microscope. The successful candidate will be developing unit tests as an integral part of the device quality assurance and will have the opportunity to improve user experience. The position is full-time.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
- Testing and quality assurance of software products.
- Conduct interactive and automated testing of user interfaces and SDK.
- Create scripts and tools to automate testing infrastructure, processes, and tools.
- Develop regression tests.
- Learn and apply best practices for quality assurance.
- Investigate and track bugs in production code.
- Contribute to maintaining the existing X-ray detector SDK, including bug fixes and feature enhancements.
- Test APIs to control X-ray sources and motorized stages as needed.
- Develop and maintain automation test frameworks.
- Conduct manual testing of software using real hardware.
- Create test cases in Jira for the purpose of verification and validation of software.
- Complete required administrative activities such as documentation for software bug reports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with developing software in one or more programming languages.
- Experience with C# and .Net development with Visual Studio
- Experience with C++ for interfacing with 3rd party C++ APIs
- Experience using GIT, JIRA and Jenkins
- Clear verbal and written communication, time management and self-organization skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision in an environment that requires strong teamwork and cross-functional interaction.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with developing windows applications using WPF and XAML design.
- Experience with toolset or SDK development.
- Python programming experience
- Experience with x-ray sources and x-ray detectors
- Exposure to full product development cycles.
