Description
The Operations and Infrastructure Branch within the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement is recruiting an Asset Team Lead. The Team Lead will lead and provide direction and support to a team of hardware and software asset management staff. They will represent the Team with clients, vendors, and other Ministries, provide technical expertise and escalation resolution as needed, and contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures. This position leads by example while motivating and supporting employees to thrive and achieve quality results.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the Hardware/Software team members by setting and maintaining team objectives, training, and coaching staff performance, providing direction, feedback and support to all team members, managing workloads, developing and implementing ongoing process improvement;
- Build strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and teams across all Ministries in order to proactively address issues that may affect the efficient and timely delivery of services or customer service standards;
- Provide expert consultation services for datacenter, desktop software licensing and hardware leasing and procurement, and proactively manage the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement;
- Set standards, challenge vendors, and drive software and hardware procurement strategies; and
- Assist in the development, management, and monitoring of metrics leading to the success of the team and provide technical expertise to support innovation around tools, processes, and procedures.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through a computer science or a related degree, along with Microsoft licensing certification or equivalent, and 2+ years experience in managing and leading a team. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
