The e-People Training and Change Management (TCM) team is responsible for developing, maintaining and delivering e People (PeopleSoft human resource management system) related training materials, courses and communications. We provide technical training and documentation for all AHS timekeeping and time approval staff, managers and employees, as well as system and process training for our HR team, including HR Shared Services Production and Call Centre employees. The team also provides the maintenance of the e-People Provincial Templates (process maps), FAQs (for e-People Employee Self Service, Manager Self Service, and the HR Contact Centre) and HR Forms. Description:
The Communications Specialist supports HR Shared Services (HRSS) in the delivery of e-People services to various groups across the organization such as managers, employees, human resources, timekeepers and time approvers. This role provides support to the overall TCM team, primarily the Communications Advisor, and a larger team of HRSS leaders and advisors. This position will be involved in the execution of e-People communication tactics, including writing and proofreading of communications (emails, newsletters, message boards, etc.) and proofreading other technical documentation created by TCM team members. In addition, this role will actively be involved in supporting the administration of communication and other TCM-related activities, including the maintenance of dashboards and other activities related to HR Shared Services monthly reporting. The location is negotiable within Calgary or Edmonton.

Demonstrated ability to write and proofread professional-level communication content for email, newsletters and message boards. Ability to comprehend and synthesize complex, detailed information and translate it into messages that are easily understood by a varied audience. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish and adjust priorities based on business need. Strong administrative skills including attention to detail and accuracy. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required (Outlook, Word, Excel), including the ability to complete mail merges using MS Outlook.
Additional Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years' experience in corporate or internal communications, change management or human resources, ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with MS Publisher and SharePoint is an asset. Completion of a related post-secondary degree in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or Change Management. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Previous experience with PeopleSoft (or other human resource management systems) and knowledge of Collective Agreements is considered an asset.
