Steel Detailer

Manco HR is looking for a Steel Detailer for an exciting Metal Fabrication client in London, ON

Key Responsibilities:

• Drawing Mastery: Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive sets of approval drawings, shop fabrication drawings, erection drawings, and other vital documents related to the manufacturing and erection of steel members, stairs, guardrails, and structural steel.

• On-Site Excellence: Commute to various job sites for accurate site measurements of scope items, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

• Collaborative Ingenuity: Collaborate with drafting team members, project managers, estimators, and shop personnel to coordinate details and designs, optimizing efficiency in the fabrication process.

• Adherence to Excellence: Ensure compliance with contract drawing details while meticulously meeting all Ontario Building Code (OBC) requirements, maintaining the highest standards of quality.

• Takeoff Expertise: Provide expert structural and miscellaneous metal takeoffs when needed, showcasing your proficiency in quantifying project requirements.

• Timely Detailing: Execute detailing and checking duties promptly, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to meeting project timelines.

• Change Recognition: Stay vigilant for changes in contract drawings and effectively communicate these to project managers and estimators, ensuring seamless project adaptation.

• Technical Proficiency: Showcase your mastery in Autocad, Tekla, or SDS 2 software, coupled with analytical prowess, organizational finesse, and outstanding multitasking abilities.

• Continuous Growth: Embrace a culture of continuous improvement by proactively seeking professional development opportunities. Stay ahead of technological advances and evolving Ontario building codes through ongoing training and skillset upgrades.

Hours: Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm
