The Pharmacy Manager/Store Operator is responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy and actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement. The Pharmacy Manager/Store Operator will play a key role in achieving departmental excellence in the areas of patient focused care, customer service and workflow efficiencies.
- Focus on clinical services (i.e., medication reviews, disease state management)
- Promotes the Neighbourly brand through publishing, presenting, and participation in industry associations to improve brand awareness.
- Follow and promote the Neighbourly policy manual to inspire a working environment that attracts and retains talented, committed and engaged employees
- Initiate care plans, follow up and document
- Administer vaccines
- Determine appropriateness of drug therapy
- Monitor medication adherence
- Collect and document relevant patient, drug, and disease information
- Recommend OTC products and vitamins
- Answer questions from patients that require therapeutic knowledge, clinical analysis, or assessment
- Supervise a pharmacy student or a provisional pharmacist in the performance of restricted activities
- Licensed and in good standing with College of Pharmacists of Saskatchewan
- Minimum 1 year of prior experience as a Pharmacy Manager (preferred)
- Possess entrepreneurial abilities and a will to grow the business
- Ability to lead, coach, and encourage staff
- Capability to collaborate with the front-store staff to find possibilities for patient care
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-directed and able to work independently.
