The position demands a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and adept administrative support, coupled with a pivotal role in the collection of property taxes.


The Opportunity

The role will be to perform a variety of general clerical duties for the Taxation Department and to provide information to the members of the public.


Responsibilities

Core responsibilities encompass processing tax payments, warmly welcoming visitors, and extending dedicated customer assistance. Additionally, the role involves addressing inquiries from legal professionals and responding to property owners' questions related to property taxes. Meticulous data entry into the tax system and a basic accounting understanding is a key aspect, accompanied by a willingness to assume additional responsibilities as required. Flexibility is paramount in adapting to evolving priorities while maintaining a focus on meeting deadlines. The ability to demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills is key.


You Bring

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service setting, with a focus on strong written and verbal communication. An Office Administration Certificate is preferred.


Hours

Employment Duration: April 29 - August 23, 2024, 8:30 to 4:30, Monday to Friday.


The standard workweek consists of an average of 35 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.


Compensation

Salary $22.99 per hour as per the Out-of-Scope Agreement (Band A, Step 2)
