Job Responsibilities

 

Canada Post is anticipating openings for students to work in the following areas of business:


•    Operations

Job Responsibilities (continued)

The selected candidate will perform the following work:

 

  • Programming workflows with Microsoft Power Apps, and Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Interface with databases and perform analysis
  • Generate dashboards and data views with Microsoft Power BI/Power Query
  • Create forms with Microsoft Forms that will centralize submitted data and manage file transfers.

Qualifications

 

Education 


Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in a computer science/engineering, Business Technology or Data Science field of study.

 

Experience  


No experience required

 

 

Other Candidate Requirements  


• Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and Microsoft Power BI/ Power Query
• Ability to create forms with Microsoft

• Exposure to data management and analysis
• Adaptable: ability to work effectively in different situations and/or with different people


• Excellent written / verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills


• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and can exercise sound judgment
 

• Programming Languages that would be considered an asset:

  • Java Script
  • Visual Basic
  • SQL
  • Python

 

Eligibility


To be eligible for the Summer Student Employment program, you must meet the following criteria:


• Study in one of the Corporation’s areas of business mentioned above

 

• Have completed your first year of University, College or Cégep, and 


• Be enrolled for the following year
