Job Description
What you can expect in a typical day:
As a summer student with Irving Oil you will have an opportunity to learn in a collaborative environment with one of Canada's Top 100 employers! In this role with the Wholesale & Specialty Customer Support team, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders across our organization from Refinery Supply, through transportation and delivery to our end customer. You will be part of a dynamic team that supports the lifecycle of an order from sales to customer invoicing for a diverse range of Wholesale & Specialty customers and products, including Gasoline and Diesel, Jet Fuel, Liquid Asphalt and Marine Gas Oil.
You will have the opportunity to learn how petroleum supply chain flows from the Refinery through to the end customer and how various back-office teams work together to implement customer, regulatory, and operational requirements . This is an excellent opportunity to learn how the downstream oil and gas supply works and as well as insight into sales processes and how a best-in-class sales organization operates and succeeds.

Professional skills :

• Logging, investigating and reporting on customer inquiries with a focus on corrective and preventative actions, directly impacting th e performance of the organization through customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness
  
• Support various continuous improvements and enhancement projects
  
• Strong understanding of M S Office
  
• Knowledge of Salesforce or JD Edwards (PSE1) would be an asset, but not required

• Travel is not a requirement for this role
  

Education and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education with a strong interest in business, marketing or interpersonal field
  
• Must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be returning to school in the Fall of 202 3
