As a Surveying Equipment and Vehicle Coordinator, you will procure, maintain, calibrate, service, repair, and certify compliant on all vehicle, equipment, and safety assets while ensuring adherence to regulatory and City of Calgary standards and guidelines. Primary duties include:
- Coordinate vehicle inspection certifications, vehicle fitness investigations, and operator permits and training.
- Coordinate accident reporting claims for defects, incidents, and accident investigations.
- Coordinate maintenance, certification, calibration, inspection, repair, and replacement of safety and field tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
- Ensure field staff have the vehicles, equipment, tools and safety measures to complete tasks.
- Order, receive, and stock field supplies, survey equipment/technologies/accessories, safety equipment, PPE, and specialty initiatives.
- Procure vehicles in collaboration with the City's Fleet & Inventory Acquisition team and outside vendors.
- Maintain and track the distribution of equipment to employees.
- Manage employee timesheets, reconciles credit card transactions and statements, generates reports as requested.
- A completed 2-year technical diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology or related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is required.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerits and no charges or suspension pending.
- Proficiency in PeopleSoft FSCM and HCM, Replicon, Powerplan Riva AR and all online systems: Grand & Toy, BMO Mastercard Spend Dynamics is highly desirable.
- You have organizational skills, ability to multitask, good planning and time management and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Good interpersonal skills, excellent communication, customer centric and attention to details are critical for success in the position.
- A security clearance will be conducted.
- Applicants will be tested for appropriate skills.
- Must obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
