RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain kitchen areas with special attention to sanitation
- Exhibit culinary skills by performing day-to-day tasks, and assisting Sushi Chefs
- Evaluate quality of food product, prep items and final menu items being served to guests
- Prepare sushi in the front of the house
- Comply with Maki Sushi's food safety and hygiene standards
- Other duties to assist Head Chef
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- Basic kitchen knowledge required
- Experience in other sushi restaurants are welcomed but not required
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English
- Energetic – ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player – assist in a positive guest experience however necessary
- Culinary - have basic culinary knowledge and prepare ingredients based on the instructions
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooking: 1 year (required)
