Tourism Ambassador

Working closely with the Operations Manager, the Tourism Assistant is responsible for:

• Be responsible for overall presentation of the downtown core, maintaining clean streets through daily sweeping, maintenance, gardening and painting and handling streetscape complaints

• Answer questions from tourists, visitors, local residents and other tourism industry colleagues, in person, over the phone, via email or online

• Make suggestions on downtown shops, restaurants, attractions, and events

• Provide literature and information on places of interest downtown

• Sell merchandise and downtown dollars

• Distribute print advertising material to downtown shops and external visitors

• Undertake general clerical and office duties

• Put together statistics concerning the number and nature of enquiries

• Participate in downtown events and help market downtown initiatives and promotions

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:
