JOB SUMMARY:

The Transition House Worker will:

· be responsible for the smooth functioning of the residential program during the day shift while ensuring the safety of service recipients; and

· offer supportive counselling, referrals and advocacy appropriate to meeting the individual needs of women who are survivors of wife assault, sexual assault and emotional abuse.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Transition House Worker will have:

· a two-year diploma in the area of women’s studies, social work or counselling psychology;

· two years experience in a supervised women services program; or

· an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

HOURS OF WORK:

Averages 40.5 hours a week

RATE OF PAY:

$25.05 per hour
