We are looking for a Transport Refrigeration Technician who is looking to join a team of quality technicians for our Oshawa location.

- Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of components on truck and trailer refrigeration units.
- Maintaining Transport Refrigeration units on trucks and trailers by performing diagnostics.
- Completing preventive maintenance, component replacement, and repairs to refrigeration equipment.
- Maintains transport truck and trailer refrigeration units by reviewing orders, listening to operator complaints, and repairing failures.
- Removing, replacing, testing for Freon leaks, assembling, and installing parts and components involving soldering, welding, and the use of refrigeration equipment
- Work with limited supervision and organize workload
- Operate mobile service unit and perform scheduled servicing at customer locations
- Order necessary parts from parts department
- Identifying and capturing warranty parts
- Ensure work orders and paperwork are detailed, accurate and timely
- Maintain mobile unit, tools, equipment, and parts inventory
- Promote a safe work environment, follow safety standards at all times and ensure timely reporting of any Health and Safety issues
- Other work as may be defined
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Transport Refrigeration preferred
- Ozone Depletion Prevention Certification
- 310T or 310J License would be considered an asset
- Able to use all tools needed for refrigeration repairs
- Ability to use computerized maintenance systems for work order entry
- Good communication skills
- Strong technical skills related to refrigeration units
- Fluent in reading and writing in English
- Ability to work independently
