Refrigeration Technician

For over 20 years Janik Refrigeration has specialized in refrigeration and cooling solutions for the food industry. Our technicians are all experienced and fully licensed Refrigeration and Air Systems Mechanics (313A) as well as TSSA licensed Gas Fitters. We have the knowledge and expertise to design and install the best cooling system for your operation.

Janik Refrigeration Ltd. Is currently looking for a Refrigeration Technician to Support our Leamington, On location. The Refrigeration Technician is directly responsible for working with the Field Service team in maintaining and repairing refrigeration equipment to generate revenue and growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Service, maintain, and repair all Refrigeration, HVAC and related equipment according to Janik’s high quality standards
• Maintain and renew all required licenses and certifications
• Maintain Janik vehicles to ensure they operate well and act as soon as repairs or scheduled maintenance are required
• Be willing to participate in a rotating “on call” schedule
• Uphold the expected Janik image: Clean uniform, Clean truck, etc.
• Ensure all Janik tools and equipment are safe and perform well. Report all deficiencies to the Manager immediatel
• Always perform duties in a safe and effective manner
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with Janik team members, customers, and customer’s representatives
• Perform other duties as assigned and/or required by business need
• Act as a role model for all Janik employees
• Follow all Janik Policies and Procedures

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, not including overtime

Job Location: Leamington, On

Reports to: Facility Manager

Education Required:

G2 or G3 Gas Certificate is an asset

Experience Required:

• Previous experience in commercial refrigeration and/or HVAC service capacity, installing, servicing and repairing systems.
• Computer proficiency and knowledge of MS Office at an intermediate level.
• Effective English written and oral communication skills.
