Hours Required:
The employee will be expected to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Duties:
The Volunteer Coordinator will support Carmichael Outreach operations by recruiting, scheduling and working with volunteers to ensure programming and service delivery is driven by the needs of the community. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Providing volunteer packages to prospective volunteers and responding to inquiries
Actively recruiting for volunteers by attending volunteer recruitment fairs, etc.
Providing new volunteers with orientation, tours and training if needed, and ensuring the necessary paperwork is completed for each volunteer, processed and appropriately filed
Scheduling volunteers for all departments according to need at least two (2) weeks in advance. This will include ensuring volunteers have lunch breaks, etc.
Compiling and maintaining Carmichaels volunteer data and maintaining volunteer records for outside agencies that provide volunteers to Carmichael
Providing volunteers with feedback and relaying their concerns to the appropriate department and./or management
Conducting volunteer surveys on their volunteer
Organizing Volunteer Recognition Event
Oversee the Boutique Department: Small Budgets, shower & laundry program, and boutique operations
Other duties as assigned
