Warehouse Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks including order picking, operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and clamp trucks, and managing shipping and receiving processes. This position demands an individual capable of heavy lifting, experienced in crane operation, and adept at loading and offloading tires, necessitating heavy labor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Picking: Accurately pick items from designated storage areas according to order lists, ensuring timely preparation for shipping.
• Heavy Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment for moving large and heavy items within the warehouse.
• Shipping and Receiving: Efficiently handle the receipt of incoming shipments and the preparation of outgoing shipments, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through regular counting and verification of stock.
• Heavy Lifting: Manually lift and move heavy items, ensuring safe handling practices are followed.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse organized and clean, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Assembly Tasks: Assemble tires as required, preparing them for shipment or storage.
• Adherence to Safety Protocols: Strictly follow all workplace safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, including order picking, shipping, and receiving.
• Experience in operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $21.00-$24.06 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
