Pocketed is hiring an Account Executive to drive our continued growth!

Pocketed is a rapidly growing software startup that helps businesses across North America access billions of dollars in ‘free money’ through grants, tax credits, and incentives. We grew revenue almost 5x last year – and we are looking for an experience salesperson to help us capitalize on our current momentum and build a more scalable sales process.

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Account Executive to join our high-performing sales team at Pocketed. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for full cycle sales, driving revenue growth by identifying and closing new business opportunities, as well as nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced startup environment, making a significant impact on our clients and our success.

Your Key Responsibilities:

As an Account Executive, you are responsible for full cycle sales to achieve sales targets:

  • Prospect and qualify leads to generate new business opportunities through outbound sales efforts, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking.
  • Respond to and follow up on inbound inquiries and leads generated from marketing campaigns, website inquiries, and other sources.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value proposition of our solutions to prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target accounts.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales support teams to develop and execute targeted sales campaigns and strategies.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, including negotiation, contract management, and post-sale follow-up.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs.
  • Continuously update and maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline in CRM software.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and customer needs to effectively position our products in the market.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to sales management.
  • Contribute feedback and insights to product development teams based on customer interactions and market feedback.

Your Qualifications:

  • You have a proven track record of success exceeding quotas in B2B sales, preferably in the software, technology, or professional services industries.
  • You have exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • You’re self-motivated with a proactive and results-driven approach to sales.
  • You give a damn about creating impact and delivering experiences that delight, so you want to be part of (and contribute to) a performance-oriented culture. You understand that culture is only as strong as the sum of its parts, and you’re all in on contributing positively.
  • You’re radically independent, resourceful, and a driven problem-solver (<-- critical to succeed at Pocketed).
  • You have excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • You’re adaptable, willing to learn about new products, industries, and sales techniques.
  • You’re able to thrive in a dynamic and evolving organization, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales tools is preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

  • Structured team meetings (we meet with intention – nobody likes to meet … to meet) and bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with our Head of Sales.
