Overall Purpose:
As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. You will be responsible in maintaining records and knowing where every number in our company is from, is now and will go.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Accountabilities:
All Systems Go
- Ensure reliability and integrity of financial reporting
- Record transactions on time
- Pay bills on time
Cash
- Ensuring we always have sufficient funds in bank
- Knows how much cash - daily, weekly, monthly (analyst)
- Reporting up to date
- Manage A/R and A/P
- Financial planning and budgeting
- Projections and modeling
- CapEx, etc.
- Support development of new sources of revenue
Internal Stakeholders
- Develop relationships with CEO and operations leaders to maintain ongoing financial literacy and effective use of resources
- Collecting, analysis and distribution of financial metrics
- Must have systems and troubleshooting support
- Identify patterns and trends to help the system
- Help internal team leaders make money
Financial Process Oversight (Internal Audit)
- Enforce policies and procedures across the company
- Internal audit of contracts, etc.
- Spot audits of non-financial processes
- Reporting of findings
Growth
- Outsourcing / streamlining of finance processes
- Uncover opportunities
Compliance / Legal
- Develop and administer policies and practices for centralized accounting and financial reporting, treasury, income tax planning and reporting, payroll and benefits administration, insurance and risk assessment
- Negotiates and maintains contractual agreements with third parties
Corporate Governance
- Financial information and compliance the way our leaders (board) need it
Strategic Partner
- Be “forward-thinking”
- Owns the financial strategy
- Participate in planning process (i.e. strategy and annual plan), mergers and acquisitions and other key senior management team matters
External Relationships
- Banking / financial relationships (i.e. current and potential investors)
- Effectively represent the company’s interests when dealing with competitors (i.e. potential acquisitions), external organizations (i.e. auditors), and experts such as legal and tax advisors

- CPA
