Our client is a North-America wide leader in the building materials sector. They have an opening for a strong accountant that is well versed in analysis, reporting, reconciliation, forecasting and working with tight deadlines. You will join a team of about 10 in their downtown Vancouver office.
What you’ll do:
- Work on reconciliation of accounts, quarterly and annually and annual account reconciliation
- Assists with financial statement and preparation, monthly, quarterly and annually and close of month-end
- Analysis of financial statements and track any variances
- Able to work within tight deadlines and liaise with external auditors
- Cash forecasting and budgeting of annual processes
- Work independently and autonomously but able to work within a team
What you’ll bring:
- Experienced CPA with a minimum of 4 years Corporate Accounting Experience within a publicly traded company
- Comfortable working with IFRS and lots of reporting
- Experience with taxation and understanding rules and regulations
- Public Accounting Experience
- Good computer skills, advanced Excel and JDE or similar
- Bachelor’s degree, accounting, business administration, finance or similar
- Qualified CPA
