ABOUT AUGUSTINE HOUSE:

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monthly:
- Prepare internal Financial Statements using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Prepare internal departmental statements to track performance against budget
- Enter banking information
- Bridge accounts payable to batch file and interface with G/L
- Interface payroll batch files (ER and PR) With G/L
- Prepare entry from accounts receivable and reconcile A/R subledger to G/L
- Prepare accruals and prepaids
- Review and reconcile bank accounts
- Review cash flow
- Assist in problem solving of day-to-day accounting staff
Quarterly:
- Prepare financial reports to Fraser Health Authority
- Prepare and report on financial data to the Board of Directors
Semi-Annually
- Reconcile and prepare GST remittance for refund
Annually:
- Prepare reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts for year-end audited Financial Statements
- Reconcile, as needed, expense accounts for year-end audit
- Prepare line-by-line budget wages and benefits for Care Center
- Prepare line-by-line budget of non-wage expensed for Care Center
- Enter approved budget into accounting software
- Perform necessary annual maintenance to advance accounting system into next fiscal year
- Prepare report of financial results for AGM in conjunction with Auditor
Other:
- Prepare union Retro Calculations as required
- Set up accounting systems and/or adjust existing accounting software to meet the needs of reporting financial data
- Assist, evaluate, communicate, inform, and provide recommendations to the Executive Director and Board of Directors with regard to Financial Data
- Any other finance related items as requested from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have proven computer literacy in Windows / MS Office programs: Word / Excel with an ability to handle database programs. Knowledge of ComVida and SeniorCare preferred.
Fluent in English and possess excellent listening skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision yet be capable of accepting direction and assistance as required.
Possess a positive, outgoing disposition with an affinity for seniors.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and problem solve.
Possess the ability to work cooperatively and harmoniously with other team members.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to the Executive Director
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: From $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 5 per week
