• Accounting Analyst

Job Description:

• Reporting to the Controller, the ideal candidate will perform a variety of accounting duties and will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory reporting.

Tasks include:

• Process information from 3rd party copackers into the JD Edwards system
• Reconcile purchase accounts ensuring all information has been captured and prepare entries for missing information
• Analyze and rectify invoicing issues
• Reconcile current inventory with outside warehouses
• Lead the quarterly/annual physical inventory process
• Maintain the advanced pricing module in JD Edwards
• Analyze trade spend trends, identifying over/under accruals
• Liaison with other departments to troubleshoot product transactions
• Reconcile Hanover production ensuring accurate reporting
• Reconciling all other inventory transactions ensuring accurate information
• Validate financial information in the COGNOS reporting system
• Participate in finance leadership meetings

Qualifications:

• Completed post-secondary education with either a college diploma or university degree in Accounting/Finance
• 3+ years of experience relevant to the position
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• JD Edwards knowledge as asset
