STATUS:Temporary Full-Time Cross Site
START DATE:April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025
SALARY RANGE: $34.25 - $42.79 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY:
The job of the Accounting Analyst is to provide management and the leadership team with accurate financial and statistical data for decision- making.

QUALIFICATIONS:
➢ A college diploma in Accounting, Commerce or a related field
➢ 3 years financial experience
➢ Full cycle accounting particularly in a healthcare setting preferred

➢ Strong planning and analytical skills an asset

➢ Solid understanding of month end process an asset
➢ Ability in process analysis and improvement an asset
➢ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products an asset
➢ Ability to manage multiple deadlines an asset
➢ Strong interpersonal skills an asset
➢ Ability to work independently is a must an asset

EFFORT:
➢ Minimal degree of physical effort
➢ High degree of mental effort

POSITION-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
➢ Prepare journal entries
➢ Control account reconciliations, manage prepaid accounts
➢ Oversee coding and support the work of A/R, A/P, back up to AP/AR as required.
➢ Generate & analyze budget variance reports along with Finance Coordinator and CFO
➢ Analysis of Executive & Board expenses and company credit cards

➢ Balance inter-company accounts
➢ Reporting building, financial and statistical analysis and reporting

➢ Complete ad hoc reports requested by leadership team, MOHLTC, Stat’s Canada and other outside reporting entities in a timely fashion

➢ Prepare and submit HST returns for LMH and WDH
➢ Maintain Asset Manager and Funding reconciliations and applications

➢ Work with Purchasing to support treatment of capital purchases

➢ Assist with Capital Work in Progress reporting and Re-development expense reporting, reporting requiring identification of needs and provisions of detailed specialized information

➢ Assist with the preparation of the annual operational expenditure budgets

➢ Prepare and submit Y/E HOCC and AFA reconciliations to Ministry
➢ Work with external auditors during annual audit process
➢ Complete and submit annually Revenue Canada’s Charitable Organization Return
➢ Lead, support or participate in key activities or action plans as identified on applicable Operational Plans
➢ Active member of Finance team meetings and huddles.

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs/wk

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Salary: $34.25-$42.79 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

• Listowel, ON N4W 2P5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• DCS / DEC (preferred)

Experience:

• Accounting: 3 years (preferred)
