A Northumberland based company is currently looking for an Accounting & Office Admin to help in its day-to-day operations. As the first point of contact for our office, the ideal candidate will be a passionate, self-starter who can work with limited direction.
Hours will be Mon-Fri 8:00am – 4:30pm
Primary Job Duties include, but not limited to:
Office Administration
- Welcome & direct guests in a professional manner
- Answer phone and direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail
- Maintaining office files
- Assist with off-site office errands as required
Accounting Duties
- Match invoices to supporting backup (i.e. packing slips, POs, etc.)
- Working with managers for proper invoice approval
- Reconciling vendor statements
- Enter all accounts payable into software
- Prepare & issue cheques for final review and signature
- Respond to accounts payable payment requests (Phone and/or Email)
- Compiling company visa receipts with statements
Skills/Qualifications:
- General accounting experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software programs;
- Strong knowledge and experience in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
- Must have valid driver’s license

Salary: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
