Accounts Payable and Payroll Administrator
We are seeking an Accounts Payable and Payroll Administrator who will be responsible for all payroll processes, including the management of employee data, collecting and reviewing payroll information to ensure the accuracy of timesheets/timecards, computing wages, and ensuring that employees’ wages/salaries are processed correctly and on schedule via a bi-weekly payroll frequency. Your ADP WFN experience, strong numeracy skills, effective multi-tasking skills, and ability to manage all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner will make you the perfect candidate to join our growing team.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll related matters.
- Setting up new employees on the ADP Workforce Now system, and adding them to Group Benefits and LTD.
- Performing data entry, managing electronic timekeeping systems or manually collecting and reviewing timesheets.
- Collecting, entering and reviewing payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions.
- Assist in issuing earnings statements / T4’s / ROE’s when requested.
- Complete year end source deduction returns and filings.
- Maintaining employee records.
- Coordinating with the Senior HR Generalist to ensure correct employee data.
- Providing Payroll related documents for RFP submissions, including Certificate of Insurance, Form1000, and WSIB/WCB certificates by province.
- Remitting Employer Health Tax (EHT) Annual Return and other governmental reporting (e.g. WSIB, Work Safe BC, WCB AB, CNESST, Revenu Quebec).
- Perform data entry associated with Accounts Payable, coding A/P invoices.
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries.
- Assisting with weekly cheque run and eft payment processing.
- Filing A/P invoices and cheque stubs.
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
- Other additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- ADP Work Force Now experience required.
- 5 years experience working in payroll required.
- High school diploma required.
- College diploma in business administration, finance, or accounting preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Payroll software programs.
- The Canadian Payroll Association’s Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) accreditation an asset.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of relevant legal regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Able to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
