Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable/Payable & Payroll Clerk for the multi-disciplinary rehabilitation company plays a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring the smooth flow of revenue and expenditures and completing payroll. They are detail-oriented, proficient in financial record-keeping, and can work collaboratively with other departments. This position is vital to maintaining our organization's financial health and integrity.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Payroll:
- Complete Spark employee payroll per schedule
- Complete contractor payroll and follow up as required
- Complete T4 and T4A’s per guidelines and requirements
- Complete payroll training processes with new employees and contractors
- Distribute and update employee timesheets
Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and issue invoices to clients and funding sources promptly.
- Record and reconcile payments received from clients
- Follow up on outstanding accounts and address client inquiries regarding billing.
Accounts Payable:
- Process vendor invoices and ensure the accuracy of information.
- Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Financial Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries as needed for management.
Expense Management:
- Review and process clinical team expense reports.
- Assist in monitoring and controlling expenses within budgetary constraints.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in Accounts Receivable/payable or a similar financial role.
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance.
Organizational Accountability:
The Accounts Receivable/Payable & Payroll Clerk reports to the Administrative Director and Director of HR. They collaborate with other finance and administrative staff to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations.
Working Conditions:
This position operates in an office environment and has prolonged periods of sitting. The role may involve occasional interaction with other departments and vendors. Standard working hours are 37.5 per week, with occasional flexibility to accommodate financial reporting deadlines, payroll submissions and organizational needs.
