JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this position will be responsible for entering invoices, processing cheques, reconciling vendor statements, among other key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process cheque requests and expense reports on a regular basis
- Accurately review, code and process vendor invoices
- Perform monthly reconciliations
- Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Perform data entry associated with Accounts Payable
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries
- Fill in for reception on an infrequent basis as required
Qualifications:
- Have the legal right to work in Canada.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High school diploma
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- 1-2 years experience with Accounts Payable or general accounting is an asset
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- High degree of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong analytic abilities
Working Conditions:
- Monday to Friday, on-site.
- This is a term position with a duration of 12 months.
