What you'll do
independently with a high level of confidentiality, judgment, discretion, initiative and business acumen.
- Manage correspondence, calendar and e-mail for the Chief Regulatory Officer, ensuring that all items are prioritized and
- Inform the Chief Regulatory Officer and Senior Regulatory Managers of deadlines/action items and may be required to
- Direct incoming inquiries as appropriate and ensure responses are completed in a timely manner in accordance with
- Maintain the Chief Regulatory Officer's files and provide backup materials prior to all meetings including the retrieval of
- Type and edit memos, reports, letters and presentation slides (some from draft format, some required to draft on own).
- Provide copy editing support and review of regulatory filings.
- Make occasional travel arrangements including coordinating and integrating conflicting schedules.
- Administer various financial functions (e.g. invoices, expense claims, purchase orders, purchasing of stationary and/or
- Maintain various administrative records (e.g. travel approvals, office procedures, government updates).
- Schedule, coordinate, prepare agendas, arrange for outside speakers and guests for meetings.
- Coordinate the flow of information and materials between the Chief Regulatory Officer and Senior Regulatory Managers.
- Coordinate submissions to the meetings for the Board of Directors and the Executive Team.
- Assist with communication initiatives.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of administrative systems.

What you bring
- Post-secondary education plus a minimum of three years of senior level administrative experience within a corporate
- We may consider those with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and in a highly professional manner with an extensive network of individuals: senior
- High level of interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, including tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with Microsoft Outlook (including email and calendar) and Microsoft Office (Word,
- Ability to make own judgments and decisions within prescribed guidelines; strong organizational skills with exceptional
- Ability to work as a team leader by providing leadership and guidance to other positions within the business unit.
- Ability to promote and encourage a positive team atmosphere and maintain professional working relationships with all
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of senior leadership functions and responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment with conflicting priorities and deadlines with the ability to prioritize
- Excellent knowledge of office practices, procedures and routines.
- Experience with SharePoint, Passport, SAP and OneNote would be an asset.
- Knowledge of BC Hydro and its operations would be an asset.
