Ansell Excavating Inc. is excited to be looking for full-time Administrative Assistantto join our growing team. This person will be the supportive force and face of the company. The ideal person will possess a professional and positive “can-do” attitude who is highly motivated, adaptable and organized.
The successful candidate will become an integral part of the Ansell Team and will be responsible for a wide variety of administrative tasks. This position will report directly to the Office Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet clients/customers and have the ability to manage staff, customers and administrative duties concurrently.
- Operate scale and acquire a good working knowledge of the services and products.
- Answer & direct phone calls using a VOIP system.
- Enter dispatch information, assist with maintaining company schedules
- Create scale billings and process customer payments.
- Sort and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other documents and ensure timely flow of information.
- Filing, copying, maintain tracking lists and other general administrative duties.
- Provide support for all staff, and complete data entry and/or accounting assignments.
- Monitor office and sundry supplies, and place orders
- Maintain clean and organized common areas, general upkeep and weekly office cleaning.
- Experience with social media is an asset but not required

- Customer service / excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent record keeping skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Have knowledge, or the ability to learn, the following: VOIP phone systems, Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel, QuickBooks Online, scale software
- Above average organization / time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable
- Able to prioritize tasks as needed and ensure that tasks are followed up on and completed in a timely manner
