Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant is a key support to the efficient day to day operations of the Grand River Community Health Centre administration and program support functions.
We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to work as a member of the Administrative team. As a member of this team, the Administrative Assistant will: support the Midwifery Program Transfer Payment Agency with admin and back office support, and organizational data management. This role will coordinate primary care intake for new clients and registration with specific clinics and community groups. This role will also support the Quality Improvement Working Group with data collection and admin support.
Requirements:
- Completion of a post-secondary diploma program related to medical office administration.
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a health care setting. Experience in community health or primary care is an asset.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with data entry/ reporting and scheduling.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMRs).
- Strong skills in communications, interpersonal relations, and conflict de-escalation is an asset.
Hours of work– primarily days; to include some evening, weekend work as required.
