Administrative Assistant, Human Resources

We have an immediate opening for a Temporary Administrative Assistant who has a meticulous eye for detail and demonstrated document preparation skills to contribute to our Human Resources Department. As a vital part of our fast-paced team, you'll play an integral role in ensuring efficient day-to-day administration, supporting scheduling & contracting, maintaining meticulous personal records, and assisting with projects for various HR assignments.

- Contract Period: Immediate start ending Nov 29, 2024
- Location: three days in office, Surrey, BC & 2 days Remote/work-from-home
- Pay Rate: $21-23 per hour
What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with the HR, Scheduling & Contracts Administrator to update electronic file records on SharePoint and Payworks.
- Assist in prefilling HR offer letters and payment schedules, ensuring accuracy and relevance to current pay cycles.
- Assist with the monitoring of related Human Resources documentation for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business processes.
- Draft various HR employment-related documents, including memoranda, correspondence, reports, and job descriptions.
- Assist recruitment with onboarding and tracking documents for new hires, when required.
- Collect, track, and record employee credentials and pre-requisite documentation to ensure legislative and regulatory compliance.
- Assists with all other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
As the ideal candidate, you possess a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You bring:
- Experience in a dynamic, team-based environment, adapting quickly to processes and managing high-volume tasks.
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- High proficiency in Windows environment using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Excel. Familiarity with DocuSign is a plus.
- Exceptional administration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Keen attention to detail, with experience in proofreading, editing, and document formatting.
- Collaborative approach in both independent and team environments.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Human Resources
- plus A minimum 1-3 years of experience in a clerical or administrative position.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, namely Excel and SharePoint and has HCM system knowledge
- Excellent administration skills
