REDI Enterprises Society has an exciting opportunity for a fulltime, permanentHuman Resources Assistant in Medicine Hat, Alberta. We are looking for a team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude. The Human Resources Assistant will provide transactional support to the HR department and all employees throughout the Agency. Responsible for benefit administration for the Agency and coordinates New-hire Orientation, Employee Recognition and Employee Wellness initiatives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct employee benefit administration, including registration, termination updates and audits
- Coordinate Employee Orientation, including scheduling, working with various stakeholders, set-up and take-down, and facilitating topics
- Organize and implement employee recognition programs
- Organize and implement employee wellness initiatives
- Preparation of of formal communications to employees on HR-related matters
- Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries from employees, department managers, business partners and other parties and direct to appropriate personnel as needed
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive personnel records to maintain compliance
- Help to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations by researching legislation and reporting areas of concern to the HR Manager
- Provide administrative supports to the HR department in various areas
- Email, photocopy and scan documents
- Draft general forms, letters, reports, and memos
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of post-secondary education in a related field
- Six months - two years of relevant experience
- Ability to build trust, ensure people feel heard. Ability to act with integrity and deal with and respond to confidential and/or sensitive information in a professional manner
- A self-starter with demonstrated initiative and flexibility
- Excellent organization and time management skills and the ability to work well with team members in an environment with pressing deadlines
- Proficient computer and database skills
- Clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector or one that is acceptable to the Executive Director
- A positive attitude and belief that persons with disabilities have the right and responsibility to define and act on their life choices and seek active participation in the community
- A suitable combination of education and experience may be considered
