Administrative Assistant

Pay: 20.00 CAD / hr (19.00 probation)
Overview:
Northwest Tech-Con Systems is currently seeking a Office Assistant to join our team in the Burnaby, BC for a 14 months contract. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the smooth work flow of the office by assisting in administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, energetic, eager to learn team player.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist Office Manager in Basic Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Entry
· Answer telephone calls, qualify inquires and direct them to the appropriate contact.
· Types and distributes all correspondence, including letters, emails, proposals, contracts for assigned managers.
· Gathers material and mails packages as required
· Enter relevant information into various sales systems.
· Inventory control and ordering.
· Filing Work Orders, Purchase Orders
· Coordination with other team members in other departments
· Manage other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
· Must have strong English communication skills both verbal and written, second language an asset.
· Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
· Detail-oriented and organized.
· Self-motivated with high energy levels and a positive attitude.
· Able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
· Able to work independently under tight timelines and able to meet deadlines.
· Must be able to work effectively in an office environment, must be familiar with typical office machines: fax, photocopier etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
