The John McGivney Children's Centre provides family-centered paediatric therapy services in the Windsor-Essex County community, enriching the lives of children and youth with special needs by helping them reach their full potential. Reporting to Supervisor of Intake & Health Information Management, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to clinical departments and programs.
The Administrative Assistant will provide a full range of clerical services and administrative support. They will provide support to the reception desk, and related activities. They will also support with the scheduling and coordinating of appointments, meetings and presentations.
In this role, the Administrative Assistant will also draft correspondence, receive and screen incoming calls and visitors, and answer queries and provide general support.
The Administrative Assistant will process referrals into the Client Information Systems, and ensure a complete and informative health record for each JMCC client. They will ensure client confidentiality and security of records. They will process incoming and outgoing client documents, as per policies and procedures and in conjunction with privacy officer.
Qualifications:
The qualified candidate will have relevant post-secondary education with a minimum of one year of related experience in an administrative role in a professional environment. They will be proficient with Microsoft Office and Health Information Systems. They will have excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
The candidate must be able to work successfully in a family-centred, and team environment.
The qualified candidate must have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; must be able to work independently, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
