Job description

Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary full-time Administrative Assistant to work at a leading manufacturer majoring in heating, ventilation and refrigeration systems, in Burnaby, BC. In this role, you will provide front-line customer/client services as needed and offer administrative and marketing support. ·       Pay Rate: $21-$23/hour | On-site

·       Location: Burnaby, BC

  • Job type: Full-time | 1 month with possibility of extension

  • Shifts: Monday-Friday|8:00AM – 4:30PM

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist customers, couriers, and service providers entering the office

  • Maintain security awareness by monitoring visitor access

  • Handle incoming calls promptly and courteously, directing them to the appropriate personnel

  • Ensure reception area and meeting rooms are well-maintained

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and couriers

  • Oversee office equipment and maintain supplies inventory

  • Assist with desk phone systems and make necessary changes

  • Record incoming cheques and manage couriering to the receiving center in Toronto

  • Organize and coordinate internal and external events, including catering arrangements

  • Provide additional administrative support as needed

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative assistance experience, including receptionist duties

  • Exceptional customer service skills with a customer-facing role

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint or Adobe InDesign would be advantageous

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada.
