Job description
Job title: Administrative Officer (NOC 13100)
Full-time permanent.
Work hours: Monday-Friday, 35 hours/week
Wage: $30.00/hour
Work Location: 27 Airport Heights Dr, St. John's, NL A1A 4W8
Language: English
Vacation: 2 weeks of paid vacation per annum or remuneration of 4% of gross salary
Job responsibility
Supervise overall administrative procedures, and introduce new processes when needed.
Prioritize work tasks and duties to support staff and ensure deadlines and procedures are met.
Manage clerical and executive activities.
Implement internal and external policies regarding government legislation, especially the food handling.
Coordinate office daily operations, including equipment management and maintenance.
Oversee administrative operations by concerning budgeting, contracting, and project management.
Aid in inventory and expenditures management.
Prepare periodic reports, manuals, and email.
Employment requirements
Completion of secondary school is required.
A college diploma in administration management, business administration or a related field is an asset.
At least 1 year’ experience as an Administrative Officer or similar role is an asset.
Experienced in computers like MS office.
Strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills.
Work language is English, and being fluent in a second language will be an asset.
