A Day in the life 

 

As the Advocacy & Influence Specialist you will lead the planning, developing, designing, and managing of social interactions in the Professional Product Division to increase brand exposure and strengthen brand image. Your primary goal will be to make Redken the #1 Influencer brand in Canada, and to continue building on its position as the #1 Hair brand in 2024 – you will do this by: Increasing brand awareness, generate brand love, and maximizing brand reach across Canada.

 

BRAND MANAGEMENT

  • Develop the brand image, strengthen its visibility, and perpetuate its reputation at the local level.
  • Build and implement a 360 ° external communication strategy consistent with the brand's international communication strategy and the local business strategy of its entity for D2C & B2B
  • Orchestrate integrated communication campaigns on major launches, brand events – including commercial, education, and marketing events, etc.
  • Deploy and strengthen the brand's image locally, and find / leverage ways to garner international exposure for Canadian campaigns
  • Manage the brand's internal communication
  • Define an internal communication plan consistent with the external communication plan
  • Promote the brand internally, promote its launches, and news releases – be the #1 sponsor of new launches
  • Anticipate potential “issues” linked to the brand and proactively implement solutions to avoid said issues.
  • Be TREND FOCUSED and BE AT THE TOP OF ALL TRENDS – have the ability to think of creative campaigns. Advanced in trends and understanding what are the macro and micro-online trends that the brand can / should leverage. Full fluency in executing in managing TikTok and Instagram influencer (paid and earned) content. Experience in previous campaign management is ideal.
  • Lead the internal and external communication of the brand in times through any potential PR crisis
  • Manage the department's budget (ownership of the A&I and PR marketing spend – full ownership: strategic allocation on investments, and continuous managing / reconciling to ensure you are effectively fueling your activations. Experience in budget management is ideal.

 

MEDIA MANAGEMENT

  • Manage organic media relations (gifted and earned media / A&I campaigns)
  • Manage public relations: local spokespersons and muses
  • Manage ambassador relations – contract negotiation, execution, and implementation – full ownership of the entire process with ambassadors
  • Establish media mapping: identify key people in strategic media with PR Agency

 

OTHERS

  • Advise Brand Management on all matters relating to communication
  • Presenting your plans to internal and external stakeholders to gain sponsorship on your ideas and strategies – audiences of up to 150 people at times. Comfortable with public speaking.
  • Prepare for PR and EXTERNAL facing interviews, including media training
  • Advising during internal and external speaking engagements
