Adams Lake Indian Band is seeking one full time Asset Manager to work under the direction of the Adams Lake Band’s Director of Infrastructure. The individual’s main responsibilities will be to manage, collect and analyze data and provide guidance in Asset Management best practices to the ALIB team in order to manage ALIB assets, including Fleet Management in accordance with the ALIB policies and procedures.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Develop a forward looking asset management strategy using indicators, including lifecycle costing, asset risk, and asset health to guide replacement and investment planning.
- Ensure Asset Management Plan is updated annually
- Data collection plan is timely and accurately updated.
- Identifies, recommends and implements appropriate practices and strategies required for asset management activities to improve and optimize maintenance and rehabilitation plans in collaboration with staff.
- Gather, create, compile and maintain asset inventories, databases using data management tools.
- Assists Directors to prepare annual capital and operating budgets; recommends repairs, replacements or improvements based on information collected through asset condition and lifecycle cost analyses and in consultation with operations staff.
- Creates policies, procedures, strategies and plans for asset management and implementation.
- Be aware and remove(s) and prevent(s) opportunities of all liability act(s) that best protect the interest against Adams Lake Indian Band membership to ensure that all work, workers, contractors are qualified.
- Monitors Level of Service according to Adams Lake Indian Band Comprehensive Community Strategic Plan
- Organizes, plans, seeks guidance from Team meetings with Asset Management Team
- Works with spreadsheets, software for recording, tracking Life cycle, Risk and condition assessments of Assets
- Seeks funding and Proposal Writing to obtain funds for activities for infrastructure, asset, maintenance operations
- Performs other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWELDGE AND SKILLS
- High school/Secondary school diploma in addition to post secondary education including Asset Management 101 Awareness, 102 Core Elements of Asset Management and other relevant training certification.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience (Relevant experience is defined as experience in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Asset Management)
- Proven success and working knowledge of Asset Management Planning for Infrastructure
- Experience of working with the public, face to face, on the telephone and via e-mail.
- Experience of handling complaints and difficult situations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work alone without close supervision and as part of a team
- Have good office organizational management and administrative skills

Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License and abstract
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Full time permanent position
Wage range: $27 - $35 per hour
Upon completion of probation ALIB offers comprehensive Benefits and a Pension Plan.
Hours per week: 75 hours biweekly (max 37.5 hrs./week), with flexibility in hours/days of work.
