Job description

Adecco is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Automation & Control Technician for our client located in Richmond, BC.

As an Automation & Control Technician, they specialize in electronics, servos, robots, and computer systems to optimize processes. They lead problem-solving sessions, maintain detailed logs, and ensure optimal system performance. Collaborating with teams, they troubleshoot, analyze errors, and execute corrective measures to improve operations and minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate should have a degree or diploma in Mechatronic Engineering, Engineering Systems, Computing, Robot Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls, or related fields, with an electrical license or Millwright experience being advantageous.

  • Salary: $95K - $110K per year

  • Shifts: Monday – Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Provides expertise in using electronics, servos, robots, and computer systems.

  • Leads root cause problem-solving sessions to review specific pieces of the process with the goal of eliminating waste and downtime to meet all production team goals.

  • Develops methods to determine root causes.

  • Maintains a comprehensive log of all preventive inspections and other significant Cimcorp equipment-related issues and activities.

  • Ensures that the systems are operating optimally or takes immediate corrective actions.

  • Makes recommendations if system should be operated differently.

  • Makes proposals on how the overall system could be improved.

  • Takes part in troubleshooting, analyzes errors and plans corrective measures to further prevent
    problems.

  • Executes corrective measures in co-operation with other Cimcorp organizations.

  • Maintains records of system error quantity and error severity in order to prioritize the corrective
    actions.

  • Ongoing control of the system functionality and initiatives to improve the system and practices.

  • Ensures that system is operating optimally or take immediate corrective actions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada

  • A degree or diploma in Mechatronic Engineering, Engineering Systems and/or Computing, Robot Technology, Electrical Engineering,

  • Mechanical Engineering, Controls, and/or related industry experience

  • Holds an electrical license or Millwright experience is an asset
