Bakery Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and production of bakery items such as bread and other baked goods. This includes measuring, mixing, shaping, fermenting and baking.
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality and taste.
- Package bakery products for client orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area. This includes but not limited to dish washing, washing and sanitizing work surfaces including floors, FIFO organization of baking ingredients.

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or bakery setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety practices
- Familiarity with baking techniques and equipment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately is a must
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards

Skills/Requirements:
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with other bakery staff

- Teachable, open to constructive feedback and ongoing learning.
- Basic cooking skills to assist with food preparation when needed

- Ability to stand, walk, bend the entirety of the shift.

- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly

As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery. This is a unique environment with the commercial space built into a residential home. As a Bakery Assistant you will be trained and involved in every step of the baking process.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
