The Home Inspectors Association BC (HIABC) is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper with admin skills for a small, friendly office at 5-3304 Appaloosa Rd in Kelowna. 35 hours a week, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday.
Keen interest to learn all aspects of the home inspection industry.
Candidate should be self-motivated, trustworthy, responsible, and willing to assist in driving growth in this successful non profit association.
Proven experience in a relevant role with Bookkeeping and Admin skills.
Good computer skills with good knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Access, Outlook, Word.
Good working knowledge of Sage 50 and excel spreadsheets.
Maintain general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Post all journal entries. Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statement.
Reconcile payroll reports.
Reconcile intercompany accounts.
Prepare GST returns. Prepare monthly financial report for management.
Prepare other reports as required using Sage 50 and other excel spreadsheets.
Keep stock of office supplies and place orders when necessary.
Friendly telephone manner with members and the public.
Event planning experience an asset.

Salary: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
