PART-TIME BOOKKEEPER/OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Post journal entries.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Process payroll and maintain employee records.
  • Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Process monthly, quarterly and yearly tax filings.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Organize and maintain filing systems for both electronic and physical documents.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Perform general office duties as needed, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence
  • Provide administrative support to the office team as needed.

CORE COMPETENCIES

Position Specific Skills

  • Must be QBO Certified
  • Must be a certified bookkeeper
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper and office assistant or in a similar administrative role
  • Experienced in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis
  • Ability to perform account reconciliations efficiently
  • Experienced in payroll and government tax remittances
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting principles, standards, and regulations
